The hotel provides great value for money, especially for budget travelers. While the rooms and bathrooms show some signs of wear and could use a refresh, they serve the essential needs well. The hotel's location is truly ideal, right in the heart of the Old Quarter, making it easy to explore various restaurants and attractions. The staff here are genuinely friendly and eager to assist, which makes a significant difference in the experience.
Our stay was quite disappointing unfortunately. The room looked completely different from what was advertised. There was noticeable neglect in maintenance, and we faced issues with parking and communication from the staff. On a positive note, we appreciated the price and found a better place nearby, so it wasn't all bad.
I truly enjoyed my time at Hanoi City Hostel! The location was perfect for exploring the vibrant Old Quarter, and the spacious, clean rooms made my stay comfortable. The staff, especially Anna and Katherine, were incredibly helpful with planning tours and providing recommendations. However, I did face a few hiccups with the airport pickup, which took longer than expected.
